t he reconciliation, it drives up their total costs of fueling $180.00 or nearly $.02 for every gallon purchased monthly. For smaller companies, this number can be as high as $.06 per gallon added to your f uel costs for administrative time spent on fuel purchasing and reconciliation. The comprehensive report that you get with A utomated Fuels can greatly reduce or even eliminate the need for reconciliation. However, the report should be evaluated for possible maintenance issues or unau- thorized fuel purchases. Automated Fuels system also allows for limits to be placed on cards to help minimize the chance of unauthorized pur- chases. These limits are flexible and can be customized for each truck. A heavy duty wrecker with 100 gallons of fuel capacity will most likely need a different gallon limit than a small wheel lift truck. Automated Fuels can work with you to evaluate your fleet and set appropriate restrictions to maximize your fuel pur- chasing protection. Another feature that may be beneficial for some is time and day restrictions. If you have drivers that will never operate over a weekend, we can have their driver identification number (DIN) disabled on Saturday and Sunday. If you have drivers that will only run from 7am – 7pm, we can disable the DIN during off hours. The goal of our consulting and fuel manage- ment program is to provide you with the h ighest level of control, convenience, and efficiency to meet the fuel needs of your company. Do you have trucks that also do haul- ing or asset relocation? We can add a m iscellaneous key feature that will allow drivers to put in job tickets to allocate specific fuel purchases to specific jobs. T his can help make sure each con- tracted job or haul is profitable and the correct amount of fuel can be billed to the specific job ticket. Another benefit you will see with Automated Fuels is cash flow. Why run up a large monthly invoice for fuel when you still have many receivables that have not come in? Our flexible weekly or semi- monthly billing cycles can help improve your cash flow and reduce the stress on the cash position on your business when those large monthly fuel bills come due. The best part about what we do is that we customize a system to meet your unique needs. No two companies are the same, and that is why "cookie cutter" pro- grams are not always the most effective form of fuel management and purchas- ing.
